Memories

We fell in love with Myrtle Beach last year when we spent a week at the Ocean Creak Resort. So, we returned again this summer, filled with excitement and looking forward to another relaxing and fun week.  This time though, we had oversea guests joining us for the week.  The view from our room in the North Tower took our breaths away as we stood on the balacony, soaking in the breath-taking view of the ocean and the beach.  At this very moment, all our stress and any worries were carried away by the splashing waves.  Each minute thereafter is filled with moment of joy, laughter, and happiness.  This vacation was especially special because of so many firsts...my aunt's first visit to an oceanfront beach in her 70 yrs of living, first walk on the sand with waves crashing around her ankles, my 11 year old Korean nephew's first time in American, first time on the beach, first swimming in the ocean, first of such type of vacation, first time collecting seashells, my eight year old son's first time meeting with his cousin who turned out to be a brother he's never had, first time in the mirror maze at the Barefoot landing, first time eating calamari....  There were so many things to do at the Resort -- everything was new, most often ended up in or "first" memories.  Too many firsts to count but many memories which will be remembered forever. 

We'll be back next summer, without out extended family, but will be looking forward to it just the same. We'll wait anxiously for many more wonderful memories to be added to now our treasure chest full of lifetime memories.
