Memories

All four of our daughters are amazing individuals. One year of our vacation at Ocean Creek stands apart from the rest due to an unexpected illness.  In the time between the summers of 2006 and 2007 our next to the oldest, Amelia was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.  Our respite that year at Ocean Creek was just the medicine we all needed, especially Amelia.  The sameness of our routine, getting the key in the mail, days and evenings on the beach and planning the meals, all blessedly normal.  The Bouknight's opening up their condo to our family will always be some of our best memories.  As for Amelia, she graduated highschool this past Friday night and needless to say, there were few dry eyes.  God has poured out His will for her life and she will be attending UNCW this fall.  Our church just finished up a fundraiser, in her honor, and our family  graciously gave up our stay at Ocean Creek this summer to help Amelia with college.  Thanks for the opportunity to share our best memories story.
