Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is an icon of the Myrtle Beach waterfront. Located along the sandy shores of the Atlantic, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a must-see Myrtle Beach attraction that stretches for 1.2 miles beginning at Pier 14 and ending at the 2nd Avenue Pier. Spend your time there taking a leisurely walk along the Boardwalk or take a seat along one of the many benches along the way. Pop into the Gay Dolphin for some souvenirs or sit down for a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants along the Boardwalk. The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and the Zipline call the Boardwalk area home as well as arcades and ice cream shops. The Boardwalk is truly a year-round attraction and features special events throughout the year. It is a must-see!

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s Aquarium is located at Broadway at the Beach. This premier aquarium beholds wonder, excitement, and fun. Spend your time exploring the Rio Amazon and visiting the Friendship Flats. Check out the Ray Bay and the Touch Tank for a close-up look at these fascinating sea creatures then head over to the Rainbow Rock where you will be amazed by the huge array of colorful fish as they flutter by.

The Dangerous Reef is one of the most popular exhibits at the aquarium. Step onto the 340-foot moving path and just watch, and enjoy as you glide beneath the recreated ocean waters. Watch as sharks swim above you and keep an eye out for Sea Turtles! Green moray eels will poke their heads out as sandbar sharks settle on the bottom of the huge tank.

Ripley’s Aquarium also features a live Mermaid Show, as well as marine camps and other special activities for those who want to learn even more about the underwater ecosystem.  

Pavilion Park

Pavilion Park will take you back in time with memories of the original Myrtle Beach Pavilion. Located at Broadway at the Beach, Pavilion Park has a variety of rides and attractions as well as midway games! The little ones will enjoy taking a ride on the Kiddie Tea Cup, Kiddie Motorcycle Ride, Kiddie Boat ride, and more! Adults can have fun too by riding The Wave Swinger, The Pirate Ship, or the classic Herschell-Spillman Carousel. Myrtle Waves is a seasonal water park that will cool you off on hot summer days! Have fun in the sun at this 20-acre Myrtle Beach water park! Slide down the Turbo Twisters, which shoots you down at 50 feet per second or hold on tight as you make your way down the 350-foot-long Riptide Rocket. There are many slides to choose from as well as their LayZee River ride where you can enjoy floating along in a tube after all of your daring plunges on the slides! Pavilions, snack bars, showers, lockers, cabana rentals, and lounge chairs are also available at this family-fun water park.

Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are the affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Every year they fill up the $13-million TicketReturn.com stadium with cheering fans and families who are visiting Myrtle Beach who want to enjoy a good ol’ fashioned game of baseball. With their regular season beginning in April and running until the end of summer, The Myrtle Beach Pelicans games are always fun to attend. Often, the stadium will run game-day promotions for excited fans and have a fireworks show following games. The stadium is also home to the Pelicans Pro Shop and Splash, the team’s spunky mascot! The stadium holds up to 6,600 fans and even has a few luxury boxes that hold 24 people each. You may recognize the seats in the stadium as they are from the previous home of the Atlanta Braves – Fulton Stadium. Get ready to sing “Take Me out to the Ballgame” with a hot dog in one hand and a soda in the other as you cheer on the home team!

Family Kingdom Amusement Park

Family Kingdom is a two-fold attraction. It features an amusement park and a water park with more than 30 rides altogether. With a Twist ‘n Shout steel coaster and the Frog Hopper, this park has something for everyone to enjoy. A variety of thrill rides, family rides, kiddie rides as well as a go-kart course fill the days at Family Kingdom with fun! Take a ride on the Ferris Wheel, the Scrambler, the Sling Shot, or the Tilt-A-Whirl, and see just how much fun you can have! Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens is a beautiful sculpture garden that is rich with local history and is located south of Myrtle Beach on more than 9,000 acres. Open year-round, this Grand Strand treasure has been around since it opened in 1932 by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington; it was the only public sculpture garden in the country at that time. Brookgreen Gardens operates as a non-profit organization and is a National Historic Landmark. It seeks to keep intact the natural landscape and more than 1,400 pieces of art located on the property. You can spend time meandering around the garden while taking in the sites and learning about the history of the area from informational signs located around the property. Works such as “Don Quixote,” “Fountain of the Muses,” and “Diana of the Chase,” are spread throughout the gardens. Brookgreen Gardens also offers a gift shop, dining, sculpture exhibitions, and animal exhibits. Plan to spend a whole day at Brookgreen Gardens to make sure you see everything!

Alligator Adventure

Alligator Adventure is a fun way to get up close and personal to alligators and other wildlife while feeling safe and having fun! Located next to Barefoot Landing, which is across the street from Ocean Creek Resort, this North Myrtle Beach attraction is fun for the whole family. Alligator Adventure is home to a variety of reptiles and alligators including albino alligators, emu, lizards, macaws, lemurs, Siberian tigers, monkeys, and more! Pirate’s Voyage Dinner & Show
