Fall is in full swing here in Myrtle Beach and the area is busy gearing up for one of the most fun holidays of the year: Halloween. No matter what time of the month you are visiting, October is full of spook-tacular events and attractions for both families and adults. Check out everything from haunted houses to costume parties and everything in between! Here is a roundup of the area’s best Halloween events:
Barefoot Landing will host several family friendly events prior to and on Halloween evening. Saturday, October 26th will mark the annual kids and pets costume contest where kids and their furry friends can come dressed to impress. The event will also offer a petting zoo, face painting, games, and free carousel rides. Bring the kids back on Halloween evening from 5pm-7pm for trick-or-treating throughout the complex!
Broadway at The Beach
Broadway at The Beach will be full of Halloween fun throughout the month! Stop by the Vision of Horror haunted house, located near Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville, anytime between October 12th-31st – if you dare. Other festivities will include the Family Spooktacular Party at the Ripley’s Aquarium on Friday, October 26th and the annual Adult Costume Contest & Party at Celebrity square on Saturday, October 27th. There will also be trick-or-treating throughout the shops with games and contests on Halloween night.
Boardwalk Fright Nights
Head to the Downtown Myrtle Beach area for a new, festive feature. Between October 11th – November 2nd, the downtown and boardwalk area will be crawling with zombies! There will also be a Zombie Quarantine and photo op area from 8pm – midnight nightly and a spooky haunted house open daily on Ocean Boulevard. In addition, visitors can enjoy half off thrill rides, like the Sling Shot, and live music on the boardwalk every Saturday through November 2nd.
Hallowine Dinner at Croissants
For a fun, festive adult evening, make reservations at Croissants Bistro & Bakery for their annual Hallowine Dinner, held this year on Wednesday, October 30th. Featuring 5 appropriately themed courses, like Bleeding Hearts Brie and Frankenribs, each plate is paired with hand selected wines that compliment each course. Dress to impress, as the evening will also include a costume contest and other fun Halloween games. Space is limited, call (843) 448-2253 for reservations.
Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
Head south to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk for an evening of inlet front fun. Beginning at 5pm, bring the younger tikes out for costume contests, games, and trick-or-treating, and other family friendly fun. After 7pm, the evening shifts towards a more adult atmosphere with adult costume contest, outlandish games, and themed drinks specials and live entertainment at restaurants along the boardwalk. There will be plenty of entertainment for all ages on Halloween at the MarshWalk!
