Fall is in full swing here in Myrtle Beach and the area is busy gearing up for one of the most fun holidays of the year: Halloween. No matter what time of the month you are visiting, October is full of spook-tacular events and attractions for both families and adults. Check out everything from haunted houses to costume parties and everything in between! Here is a roundup of the area’s best Halloween events:

Barefoot Landing

Halloween in Myrtle Beach

Barefoot Landing will host several family-friendly events prior to and on Halloween evening. Barefoot will host Free kid’s activities 6pm to 8pm on Saturday, October 15, 22, and 29.

There will also be kid friendly movies starting at 7 pm. The movie line up includes The Lego Movie on October 15th, The Goonies on October 22nd and Hocus Pocus on October 29th.  Bring your own blankets and chairs, find a cozy seat and enjoy complimentary popcorn along with your movie. *Weather permitting.

For the adult fun, Castano’s will be hosting a Halloween Party with specialty cocktails, music and a costume contest.

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach will be full of Halloween fun throughout the month! On Saturday October 22nd, Broadway will host Truck-Or-Treat. Bring the kids for this hands on, community event where they can explore and ask questions about fire and emergency vehicle trucks.  The event will take place from 10am to 3pm.

On October 29th the annual Monster Ball Adult Costume Contest & Party will take place at Celebrity Square. You will have the chance to show off your creative costume and enter for the best costume contest with grand cash giveaways to the winner!

There will also be Trick-Or-Treating throughout the shops with games and contests on Halloween night, October 31st from 4:30pm-6:30pm as well as Halloween Fireworks at 8 pm.

Boardwalk Fright Nights

Head to the Downtown Myrtle Beach area for their annual Halloween activities. Between now and October 29th each weekend, weather-permitting, the downtown and Boardwalk area will be crawling with zombies! In addition, visitors can enjoy the thrills and chills of heart pumping rides, like the Sling Shot, and live music on the Boardwalk every Saturday through October 29th.
