The Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach area comes to life for this festive holiday and you won’t want to miss out on the excitement! Whether you are here for the tail end of a snowbird vacation or are coming to Myrtle Beach to paint the town green, check out some of the local events and hot spots that you can look forward to this St. Patrick’s Day.

North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival – March 14th

Pack the family and head to Main Street in North Myrtle Beach to save your spot for this colorful event. This annual parade will begin promptly at 9am and meander through the town, showcasing several local floats that will be adorned in every shade of green imaginable. After the parade, head to the St. Patrick’s Festival from 11 am – 4 pm. The festival will have a variety of food and drink vendors, street entertainers, live music, and an exciting children’s area.

Boardwalk St. Patrick’s Day Festival – March 14th and 15th

If you are looking for a change of scenery, head to the popular Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to enjoy a full day of everything Irish. There will be plenty of live entertainment including their first annual Battle of the Bands on Sunday. There will also be several food vendors and the area’s largest outdoor beer garden! This event is very family friendly and offers an alcohol free kids zone with face painting, games, and much more. This exciting event kicks off at 11 am and goes until 10 pm on Saturday and runs from noon until 9 pm on Sunday.

Flynn’s Irish Tavern – Open Monday through Saturday at 4 pm

If you are looking to enjoy some Irish beer and food in a tavern-setting then check out the North Myrtle Beach Irish favorite called Flynn’s Tavern. Located on Main Street, they are sure to be hoppin’ on Saturday when many will be celebrating the week-day holiday. If you enjoy a good beer then you can sip on Harp, or if you prefer coffee then you will enjoy their Irish Coffee, which can be made 46 ways, because they have 46 varieties of Irish whiskey. Their menu does not lack in taste and includes such Irish favorites as Irish Potato Soup, Flynn’s Homemade Chips, Seared Irish Cod, Irish Dip, Liver and Onions and Fish and Chips. You can’t go wrong with any of these delicious menu items while celebration St. Patrick’s Weekend!
