Fall is Festival Season in Myrtle Beach





Fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit Myrtle Beach, with delightful weather, seasonal traditions and, maybe best of all, fall festivals.



Myrtle Beach comes alive on the weekends (and sometimes during the week) with celebrations of food, culture, crafts, and more.

Ocean Boulevard's Oktoberfest '10 - October 9, 2010





Authentic German Food, Beer & Wine, an Alcohol-Free Kids Zone with Inflatables and Street Performers, A Bratwurst Eating Contest, The Channelheimer Oompah Band, and an Amazing Fireworks Display! And FREE live concerts all day!

Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild 37th Annual Art in the Park - October 10 - 11, 2010





The Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild will hold its 37th Annual Art in the Park on Oct, 10 and 11, 2009, from 9am-4pm both days in Chapin Park, 1400 N. Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach, SC. The event is free and open to the public.



The event will feature works by over 60 artists from the East Coast and as far away as Tennessee with about 20 of those artists from the local Myrtle Beach area. Typical art will include original paintings, woodworking, photography, jewelry, fabric, glass, metal, pottery and stone.

31st Annual Loris Bog Off Festival - October 16, 2010





Celebrates Chicken Bog, a favorite local chicken and rice dish. Each year a cooking contest is held for the best chicken bog chef 30,000 attendees expected.

21st Annual Wooden Boat Show - October 16, 2010





An estimated 100 classic wooden boats will be displayed in Georgetown, SC, in the water, along the riverfront boardwalk and along historic Front Street for this event hosted by Harbor Historical Association.



Vessels ranging in size from kayaks to yachts will be exhibited in 11 categories: row, canoe, kayak, surfboard, sail, inboard power, outboard power, classic sail built prior to 1960, classic power built prior to 1960, owner designed and built, and century class (100 years or older). Proceeds benefit a fund for the development of the association's maritime museum.

30th Annual N.C. Oyster Festival - October 17, 2010





A celebration of oysters, and the abundance of them found in the coastal waters of Brunswick County! The North Carolina Oyster Festival is attended by over 30,000 people including locals and visitors. 2010 will mark the 30th anniversary of the festival, which will be hosted by the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce.



Where: On the island of Ocean Isle Beach on 2nd Street (beside the Museum of Coastal Carolina).

The Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals is an authentic re-creation of 19th century London with all the color, warmth and merriment of Christmas during the time of Charles Dickens. Attendees are magically transported back in time to an enchanting Victorian Holiday Marketplace complete with more than 350 period clad vendors, hawking everything from fine arts and crafts, gifts, Christmas Décor and toys.

41st Annual S.C. State Bluegrass Festival - November 25 - 27, 2010





Three days of music with more than 20 live acts scheduled make for the biggest weekend of the year for local bluegrass fans.
