Most people are familiar with the draws of the beach during the summer: the sun, the sand, and the sea. There are also several family friendly events that take place during the summer, meaning that there is plenty to do after you have had your fill of the beach.

Many guests, however, actually prefer to visit the area after the prime summer season has passed. They prefer the off-season, which offers fewer crowds and lower rates than the summer months. Whether you are looking for an extended snowbird vacation or just want a weekend escape, Ocean Creek has the accommodations to meet all of your needs and the Myrtle Beach area is alive with off-season activity. Learn why an off-season “snowbird” vacation could be right for you:

Lower Rates & Snowbird Specials

Taking a vacation during the prime summer travel season means that you will be paying prime summer travel prices. After Labor Day weekend, however, prices drop significantly and extended stay packages are much more affordable. Many snowbirds find it so affordable that they choose to stay for the majority of the winter. At Ocean Creek, you can choose from studios, one, two and three bedroom accommodations. Some snowbirds like to save money by going with the studio options while others like to sprawl out with more space in a condo. Rates can vary based on month and accommodation type but start at just $750-$1,450/month, excluding taxes and fees. Snowbird rates are available from October through March.

Just because it’s not summer does not mean you can’t enjoy a relaxing swim or dip in a whirlpool.  Our indoor Lodge pool and whirlpool is open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.  Remember to check out our putting green to perfect your putts before you hit the course.  Stay in shape with our fitness room and on the many temperate days Myrtle Beach is blessed with you can hit the paths on property with a bike or by foot. Plus, don’t forget we are just steps from the ocean and have a beach access leading directly from our property.

When you take a summer vacation, it can often feel like you spend more time waiting in line for attractions or at restaurants than you do actually enjoying the ride or meal. However, during the off season, this concern is non-existent. The huge crowds and long lines are gone for the season and you can take time to really enjoy all that Myrtle Beach has to offer – without the hassle. Plus, by staying at Ocean Creek Resort you will be close to Barefoot Landing and Restaurant Row—two popular north-end dining hubs. Even closer is our Four Seasons Restaurant which serves up delicious breakfast buffets as well as elaborate holiday special meals. If you choose to cook most of your meals in you studio or condo, you don’t have to worry because all units come equipped with a full or efficiency kitchen.
