TripAdvisor.com, an online resource for travelers, has recently named Ocean Creek Resort as one of three top resorts in the Myrtle Beach area for "Where to Stay" for Romance vacations in its online Myrtle Beach Guide.  We are thrilled to receive this recognition from such a prominent source and we want to invite you to experience what others are talking about.  What has probably most impressed the selection panel is Ocean Creek's 57 acre property with relaxing walkways lined with live oaks that make for a perfect evening walk, the pond area approaching the beach that makes for a perfect spot for a romantic picnic, the secluded beach area where the actual "ocean creek" secludes our resort's beach making it ideal for sunrise and moonlit walks along the coastline, and many other favorite areas for our guests to enjoy.

Well we have been waiting for this moment for a few years now and it's finally here....Hard Rock Park is open for business!  Now the park isn't completely done yet - that will actually be May 9 when the Park "officially" opens, but they are currently open with about 80% of the park fully operational, including the already famous Led Zeppelin - The Ride roller coaster.  Initial reports on the coaster range from "Totally awesome, dude!" to "I'm just happy I made it out alive!".

While the spotlight at the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters celebrity golf event normally shines on stars such as former NFL greats Dan Marino and Gale Sayers, golfers Annika Sorenstam and Chris DiMarco and entertainers Kevin Sorbo, Branford Marsalis and of course Hootie lead singer Darius Rucker, it was the five members of the Salute Military Golf Association who stirred emotions at the Dye Club at Barefoot this Monday.  The wounded veterans who belong to the SMGA were invited by the event hosts in order to raise awareness of this fantastic organization and to help raise money for them.

The 2008 Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am finished up late Monday evening after the host group put on a spectacular concert performance at the House of Blues, and at the end of this great event the event is expected to have raised upwards of a half million dollars to be put towards junior golf and education charities.

ESPN commentator and prostate cancer survivor Mitch Laurance offers a special message about the "Know Your Score" campaign that us members of the Myrtle Beach golf community want to spread to all of our visitors.  The campaign to fight prostate cancer seeks volunteers for its closest to the pin fundraisers that are being held each Saturday in April.

Visit KnowYourScoreMB.com for more details and help to save lives from prostate cancer.
